Playboi Carti & Lil Uzi Vert “Bankroll”

By Emmanuel Louis-Charles

We should all be aware of Carti and Uzi’s collab album 16*29 dropping this year especially after the fantastic single “Break Da Bank” that dropped during the end of last year. Today they continue the rollout with a slower paced banger titled “Bankroll”. Carti and Uzi have undeniable chemistry and it shows again here. Some hard hitting melodies on this one and a cinematic monster of a beat provided by DR Beatz, I’m addicted. Listen below.

EARTHGANG ft Ari Lennox “Nothing But The Best”

By Emmanuel Louis-Charles

The Atlanta duo delivers a jazzy smash

EARTHGANG and J.I.D are part of the rise of young southern rappers who can really rap their asses off. Today they team up with songstress Ari Lennox to deliver a sweet yet menacing cut. The duos swinging flows completely the swing of the jazz instrumental as they flow effortlessly over the beat. Stream the single on all services.

Swoosh “Swoosh Me Up” prod by Cardo

By Emmanuel Louis-Charles

Swoosh delivers a banger after his long hiatus

AWGE affiliate Swoosh has been M.I.A in terms of dropping solo music for months now as he took a long break after he dropped the very popular “Get Out My Face” record. He had plenty of online hype behind him and we will see if that is still true with the reception of this next record. I enjoy the song, pretty much any Cardo beat is guaranteed fire and Swoosh handles the instrumental with ease. Listen below.

16yrold ft Yung Bans, D Savage, and Tracy “IFEELLIKEYOUNGSCOOTER”

By Emmanuel Louis-Charles

I just left Columbia

16yrold had a monster 2017 on the underground tip and 2018 is definitely the year he catapult’s himself into the mainstream. Today he drops a posse cut of sorts featuring frequent collaborator D Savage along with newer voices to a 16yrold beat Yung Bans and Tracy. Bans handles the hook while Savage and Tracy supply some fire melodic verses. Listen below.

G Herbo “Everything” Remix ft Chance The Rapper

By Emmanuel Louis-Charles

Eastside Emissaries

Herbo just teased the remix to his hit record “Everything” on IG and today we get the full version featuring Chi-Towns golden child Chance The Rapper. Chance hops on the third verse of the banger starting of with melody and ending with flexing inspired bars not heard often from the holy spitter. Shit is fire. Listen below.

Moneybagg Yo “Ion Get You”

By Emmanuel

Ion get these hoes either

2 Heartless.jpg

I was definitely a Moneybagg Yo hater when he first popped up on the scene. I felt that he really came out of nowhere with songs immediately on the radio and was an industry plant of sorts. Now after finding out he just recently got signed in his Breakfast Club interview I decided to take a hard listen to his new 2 Heartless project. After the first listen it is clearly a quality effort. From the first go around a standout for me has to be the melodic “Ion Get You”. This song finds Yo flexing his melodic chops while talking about the confusing messages these bitches can send. Shit is hard. Listen below.

Kodak Black “No Feelings”

By Emmanuel

This album is hard af

Kodak’s new project Heart Break Kodak is another high quality effort from the Pompano rapper and another fire cut for me has got to be “No Feelings”. Kodak has discussed often how he feels the women and people in his life have done him wrong and switched up making him numb. ‘No Feelings” finds Kodak exploring this topic again. Listen below.

Lil Gnar ft Germ & Madeintyo “Sticky Rice”

By Emmanuel

Big Bad Gnar Shit Out Now

Lil Gnar first came up through his popping Gnarcotic streetwear brand and now he is venturing into music with assistance from the Buffet Boys Germ who he has chosen to  put out this entire 6 -track EP with. After the first listen the Madeintyo assisted “Sticky Rice” stands out the most to me. Peep the track as well of the rest of the EP below.

Kodak Black “Running Out Of Love”

By Emmanuel

Free Kodak

The recently incarcerated Kodak Black just dropped his Heart Break Kodak project from behind bars and the Valentines Day themed project is moving my soul as we speak. A standout from the 17 track effort for me has got to be the opening track “Running Out Of Love”. The song matches the title exactly as Kodak sings about a relationship that has reached its end. Kodak is really lit so he doesn’t need auto tune, and his natural voice is amazing on the smooth R&B instrumental provided by Canadian maestro Murda Beats . Listen below.
